About Programme

Purpose of the Program:



The purpose of industrial engineering education; the human resources, machinery, materials, information and energy etc. of an enterprise established to produce a product or provide a service. To train Industrial Engineers who design, improve and establish effective and efficient systems that integrate inputs and are interested in the management of the continuity of these systems.



General content of the program:



The lesson plan, which is innovative and provides the necessary competencies, suitable for today's and future market conditions, enables students to specialize in areas such as Economic and Financial Systems, Operations Research, Statistics, Quality, Supply Chain Engineering, etc.

History
The Department of Industrial Engineering received its first students in the 2016-2017 academic year and started teaching.
Qualification Awarded
Those who successfully complete a four-year undergraduate education graduate with the title of Industrial Engineer.
Admission Requirements
Students who have high school diploma and have enough score in TYT and AYT exams, which are carried out by Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM), are accepted to the Industrial Engineering Department. Besides, students who gain vertical tranfer (for ones who have an associate degree) or undergraduate transfer right (for the students of other Industrial Engineering engineering departments) can also enroll in. Foreign national students are accepted according to the results of YÖS exam which is also carried out by Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM).
Higher Grade Transition
Students who complete their four year undergraduate education successfully are accepted according to Master Degree acception terms which are determined by Institutes of Science and Technology within Universities.
Graduation Requirements
Students who complete all of the lessons in the programme (240 ECTS in total), gain 2.00 of 4.00 as grade point average and who complete their internship (40 work-days), get the bachelor's degree.

Our graduates have found and continue to find employment opportunities in many fields from the manufacturing sector to the energy sector, from the banking sector to the logistics sector, from the health sector to the public sector.
Assessment and Grading
Students take at least two examinations for every lesson they enroll: mid-term and final exams. Conclusive successes of the students are evaluated according to Istanbul Gedik University Educational Regulations.
