General Content of the Program
Nowadays, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering continues its development as a multidisciplinary science and technology branch spreading in the fields of machinery, construction, chemistry, electricity-electronics, environment, automotive, ship and marine technologies, aircraft and space technologies, biomechanics and medicine. The field of study of metallurgy and materials engineering covers all phases from the production of metals and its alloys, ceramics, polymers and composite materials to their final use.
The aim of the course is to educate the graduates who have a strong educational background and who can use their education effectively in the field of design, application and communication, with the ability to characterize the structure-property-processing-performance relations of the defined / undefined materials with the relations between the metallurgical production-method parameters, with the experimental methods to be standardized or to be designed and to interpret the results.
Purpose of the Program
Gedik University Faculty of Engineering Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering aims to maintain a modern and international education and training and to contribute to universal science and technology by using the latest educational tools and equipment used in developed countries.
