Objectives of the Course It is aimed that the students have a good command of the basic legal concepts and the legislation regulating the banking and insurance sectors.
Course Content Turkish banking law, subject of banking law, resources, organization of the banking industry, establishment of banks, associates and cheques. Meaning of social security, social and private insurance. Organization of social insurance and private insurance in Turkey. Organization and supervision of insurance companies. General provisions of Insurance Law: Separation of private insurance. Elements of insurance contract parties, scope of establishment, freedom of contract, expiration time limit.
Course Methods and Techniques Listening and interpretation, critical thinking. Midterm exam topics are not included in the final exam.
