Objectives of the Course This course covers the basics of business English and aims to improve students’ formal writing, speaking and listening skills.
Course Content The forms and functions of modal verbs and how to use them in workplace communication (e.g. making requests, talking politely, offering suggestions, etc.),; the basic time and place prepositions; passive voice; direct and indirect speech are taught. At the end of the course, the students will be able to introduce themselves formally, learn how to write formal emails, cover letters and communicate professionally in workplace.
