Objectives of the Course The purpose of this course is to define the basic principles of the theory of flying and aircraft to investigate the structural and aerodynamic properties, general and technical features of cargo, cockpit, cabin compartments, aircraft types and general characteristics.
Course Content Bernoulli's law, forces acting on airplanes during flight: lift, gravity, push/pull, drag forces, axes of flight (roll, pitch, yaw), basic parts of airplanes; fuselage, wings, tail, landing gear and engine. control surfaces of airplanes; vane, flap, slat, horizontal stabilizers, elevator and vertical stabilizer, rudder and other control elements. Take-off-landing and turns of aircraft, propellers and engines, engine types; piston, wankel, turbojet, turbofan, turboprop, rocket, ramjet, variable cycle, engines, aircraft structures and materials used, composite materials. Airplanes according to wing structures, engines and places of use. General characteristics of aircraft cargo and cockpit compartment, general and technical characteristics of aircraft cabin, aircraft types. It includes aircraft types and general characteristics.
Course Methods and Techniques Observation technique, demonstration technique, question-answer technique, brainstorming technique, problem solving technique.
