Objectives of the Course

In this course, welding of metallic materials by various welding techniques and positions, their advantageous and disadvantageous, arc welding, gas welding, gas shielded welding techniques, soldering of materials will be discussed in detailed.

To be able to comprehend the historical development and types of welding. Obtaining flammable and combustible gases in oxy-acetylene welding and their properties. Acetylene oxygen cylinders, torches, flame selection according to flame types and material type, soft and brazing, Cutting with oxy gas flame, Choosing appropriate welding parameters and method, Preparing parts for welding, Melting welding methods, electrical knowledge about welding, welding arc, welding current generators (Characteristics and main components of arc welding power sources), welding electrodes, Welding joint types, Selection of welding parameters, Tensile and warping in welding, Gas metal arc welding techniques, Shielding gases, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG-MAG, FCAW (Metal Inert, Active Gas) method, Submerged arc welding method, Welding errors. Resistance Source. Advanced welding techniques; laser welding, electron beam welding, plasma arc welding, friction welding, friction stir welding, diffusion welding, thermite welding, etc. welding methods
