Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide students with background information on the concepts of electrical energy production, transmission and network types.
Course Content All elements and equipment, types, working principles and selection principles that ensure that electrical energy is produced in power plants and delivered to the consumer in an efficient and safe manner. Methods of obtaining electrical energy, types of power plants that produce, working principles and operating characteristics. Principles of transmission and distribution, basic network elements such as poles, conductors, transformer posts, on-off elements, protection elements, measuring elements and their selections that make up the distribution line.
