Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to explain the relationship between information design and graphic design, and to provide students with the skills to apply this knowledge. Students will learn to recognize and use information design tools such as symbols, pictograms, and ideograms. They will also identify application areas for information design and develop projects in these areas. By applying wayfinding systems and infographics, students will create creative and functional projects.

Course Content

The course begins by examining the relationship between information design and graphic design. The use of symbols, pictograms, ideograms, and other information design tools will be taught. Students will recognize various application areas of information design and develop projects in these fields. The focus will be on wayfinding systems and the use of infographics, and students will develop creative and functional projects.

Course Methods and Techniques
|
The course will be conducted both theoretically and practically. In the theoretical part, the relationship between information design and graphic design will be explained, and students will learn about the use of symbols, pictograms, and ideograms. In the practical part, students will develop projects using information design elements, create wayfinding systems, and design infographics. Creative and functional projects will be developed, supported by in-class evaluations.
