Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to give the students the basic theoretical and practical knowledge on physical principles related to heat, light and hydrotherapy modalities, physiological effects, practical methods, indications, contraindications, and hazards.

Course Content
|
In this course; physical properties of heat, local and systemic effects of heat, hot applications (hotpack, fluidotherapy and paraffin), local and systemic effects of cold, cold applications (coldpack), hydrotherapy, physical and systemic effects of hydrotherapy and water, application methods of hydrotherapy and water, pool therapy, in-water exercises, Whirlpool, Hubber tank, contrast baths, physical properties of light, electromagnetic spectrum, IR and its physiological properties, indications and contraindications for IR, UVL and its physiological properties, indications and contraindications for UVL, laser and its physiological characteristics, indications and contraindications for laser, balneotherapy and its physiological characteristics, indications and contraindications of balneotherapy subjects are included.
