Objectives of the Course This course aims to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills about the concept of biochemistry, sampling methods and points to be considered, cell structure, carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, and basic biochemical tests.
Course Content Introduction to biochemistry, definition of cell, structure and functions of organelles, transport systems, amino acids and protein synthesis, functional groups and functions in biochemistry, structure and metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes and their metabolism, cellular energy pathways, glycolysis and citric acid cycles, lipids and metabolism, vitamins, structures and functions, vitamins II, structures and functions, hormones and functions, immune system biochemistry, regulation of the structure and metabolism of nucleotides.
