Objectives of the Course To provide information about prostheses, indications, applications, modifications and possible complications, to provide an understanding of amputee rehabilitation, to gain the ability to plan and implement the appropriate treatment program for amputees.
Course Content Within the scope of this course, amputation, amputation causes, levels, congenital limb deficiency, partial hand and foot prosthesis, prosthesis applications and component selection according to upper and lower extremity amputation levels, static and dynamic adjustments in prostheses, control mechanisms, gait problems in lower extremity amputees, early and temporary prosthesis applications, myoelectric prosthesis, advanced technology prosthesis applications and amputee rehabilitation are included.

1 To be able to describe the parts that make up the prosthesis and the production processes
2 To be able to decide on the appropriate prosthesis for the patient with amputee or congenital limb deficiency, to plan and apply the appropriate treatment program for amputees
3 To be able to plan and apply the necessary evaluations according to the rehabilitation stages in patients with prosthesis indications, to control the compatibility of the prosthesis in patients using prosthesis, to make the necessary biomechanical adjustments and to analyze the results.
4 To be able to associate prosthesis applications with possible complications
5 To be able to explain advanced technological applications in the field of prosthesis and rehabilitation
