Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to contribute to the ability of physiotherapists to identify problems at the level of activity and participation, and to determine appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in the light of evidence-based scientific data in cases (orthopedic, cardiopulmonary problems or sports injuries) that physiotherapists encounter frequently during their clinical work. To develop patient-centered clinical problem-solving skills by enabling students to discuss personal and environmental factors that affect their treatment approaches in a classroom setting.
Course Content Within the scope of this course; conceptual dimension of clinical problem solving, biopsychosocial model, evidence-based study, forming groups in the classroom and identifying cases, literature review of neurological, orthopedic, rheumatological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, pediatric, obstetric and oncological cases, and determining evidence-based practices related to treatment approaches, physiotherapy and treatment of cases. There are presentations on rehabilitation programs and in-class discussion on the presentations.
