Objectives of the Course To teach the determination of the nutritional status of sick and healthy individuals by using the methods used in determining the nutritional status of the individual and the society and the nutritional status screening tests/tools.
Course Content Community nutrition, community health dietitian and nutritional epidemiology, Methods of determining nutritional status, Anthropometric measurements, Clinical symptoms, Biochemical and biophysical methods, Food consumption studies, Health statistics; Age-specific mortality and morbidity rates, etc., Nutritional status screening tests/tools, Application of anthropometric measurements, Application, evaluation, reporting of individual food consumption research

1 Defines terms related to community nutrition and the field, and explains the concept and duties of a community health dietitian.
2 Defines food consumption recording methods and knows the correct determination of portion amount.
3 Applies food consumption records and uses related computer programs.
4 Defines and applies anthropometric measurements and evaluation of body composition.
5 Evaluates biochemical tests, clinical symptoms and knows screening tests.
6 Food and nutrition guidelines define diet quality indices.
7 Knows the determination of energy expenditure and physical activity status.
8 Applies and interprets the concepts of nutritional status determination methods (anthropometric measurements, clinical symptoms, biochemical and biophysical methods, food consumption studies, health statistics, age-specific mortality and morbidity rates, etc.).
