Objectives of the Course Teaching the concepts of General Impairment, Disability, Handicap, physical and mental disability status and indicators, providing up-to-date information on childhood-adolescent-adult disability health and nutrition, and nutritional disorders seen in individuals with physical and mental disabilities. To evaluate the nutritional status, to determine the needs, to develop solutions to the problems related to nutrition.
Course Content The concept of disability and the place of disabled people in society, Problems and impossibilities experienced by disabled individuals, Health of individuals with physical and mental disabilities, Nutritional disorders observed in individuals with physical and mental disabilities, determination of nutritional status of individuals with physical and mental disabilities, energy and nutrient needs of individuals with physical and mental disabilities, development of appropriate nutrition programs specific to the individual, special nutrition ways

2 Explains the definitions and treatments of Impairment, Disability, Handicap; especially examines the nutritional treatments in line with the studies, organizes the individual medical nutrition treatments and applies the treatments for other existing diseases.
3 Explains the nutritional disorders observed in individuals with physical and mental disabilities.v
