Objectives of the Course To teach the basics of chemistry, to develop problem solving and correct thinking skills.
Course Content Chemical kinetics, principles of chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, acid-base equilibria, introduction to organic chemistry: Saturated hydrocarbons, organic reactions and functional groups, alcohols, ethers, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids, esters, amines and amides.
