Objectives of the Course At the end of this course, students will be able to learn about the science of psychology, its sub-branches, scientific research methods, "normal" and "abnormal" development of human behavior from birth to death, and methods of evaluating problem behaviors. They will have a general point of view especially about the problematic child, adult and family approach in the fields they serve as social workers.
Course Content Basic concepts of psychology science, relationship of psychology science with other disciplines, research methods and techniques used in psychology, theoretical foundations of personality theories, personality assessment tools, positive thinking, mental attitude, motivation, communication, stress management relationship, relationship between mental health and harmony, definition and quality of learning, types, conditions of effective learning, basic concepts of social behavior, individual-group relationships, behavior and abnormal behavior, measurement and evaluation in psychology.
