Objectives of the Course To train students who have knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology and molecular genetics and can adapt their knowledge to subjects related to child development.
Course Content Cell structure and function, genetic material (nucleotide, gene, DNA, chromosome, RNA concepts), genetic information flow, cell cycle and control, cell division and fertilization, basic principles of heredity, definition and types of mutation, gene and environment relationship, childhood molecular basis of genetic diseases, gene-environment interactions in child development and behavior.
