Objectives of the Course To have student be able to discuss developmental theories and concepts considering the fact that the development is a lifelong process.
Course Content Developmental periods, lifelong perspective of human development and the nature of development, development theories and development research, biological basis of development, interview methods used to recognize the child / family, evaluation and interpretation of the results of the interview.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Discuss and explain approach of lifelong development, nature of developmental researches, developmental stages, and basic developmental theories. Discuss lifelong development with evolutionist approach, and explain effect of genes and environment of the development.
2 Explain before and during birth processes. Explain physical growth and development of infant; and motor development, sensational and perceptual development of infant. 3. Explain and discuss cognitive, language development in infants and Piaget's infat development theory. Describe physical and cognitive changes and language development in early childhood.
3 Describes the physical and cognitive changes and language development in early childhood. It defines the emotional development and personality development in early childhood and describes the effects of family, peer relationships and television on this development.
4 Discusses physical and cognitive changes and language development in middle and late childhood. Discusses emotional development and personality development in middle and late childhood and explains the effects of family, peer and school on development.
