Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is; To teach the effects and side effects of drugs, their usage principles, contraindications, treatment principles of common diseases specific to age groups, and nursing care that should be applied according to these principles within the framework of basic concepts and purposes of pharmacology.
Course Content Basic concepts related to pharmacology, effects of drugs, side effects, indications, contraindications, treatment principles in common diseases specific to age groups, ways of using drugs belonging to various systems and matters to which the nurse should pay attention, important points in patient information specific to diseases and drugs, preparation of drugs and storage conditions, effects of drug administration on management of clinical symptoms.
