Objectives of the Course The aim of this course; To enable the student to acquire and develop knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to nursing roles aimed at developing, protecting and improving individual, family and community health with a scientific, holistic and ethical approach.
Course Content Basic concepts, (Human and their basic needs, health, disease, environment). Nursing and professionalization process, Healthy hospital environment, Infection control, Vital signs, Drug administration, Liquid electrolyte balance, Administration of intravenous fluids, Blood transfusion, Hyperalimentation, Respiratory requirement and nursing care, Knowing the movement needs of healthy and sick individuals, Hot and cold applications , Individual hygiene and nursing care, Communication with difficult patients, Excretory needs of healthy and sick individuals (urinary excretion, bowel evacuation), Nutrition, Metabolism and nursing care, Perioperative patient care, Wound care and dressings, Critical thinking and nursing process, Sleep and nursing interventions, concept of death and loss and nursing interventions. .
