Objectives of the Course To provide information to the students about, brain development and motor performance, body perception, the periods of motor development, the affecting factors of development, the evaluation of physical growth, the evaluation of motor development, supporting studies of motor development, applicable to home-school and open spaces children specific exercise programs and environmental regulatory matters.
Course Content The main issues in motor development are the motor development process and properties of children between the ages of 0-18 (in infancy, primary childhood, middle childhood and adolescence), factors affecting motor development; defining and evaluating motor skills and examining the concepts of competence in motor skills; Monitoring the motor development of children between the ages of 0-18, examples of applications that support motor development indoors and outdoors, material use and landscaping.

1 At the end of the course, students will have knowledge about physical growth and motor development processes and will gain knowledge and experience about motor development assessment and supportive studies of children.
2 Explain the basic concepts and principles related to growth and development. List the factors affecting growth and development. Explain individual differences in growth and development. Realizes the developmental risks in infancy.
3 Explain the concepts of physical growth. Summarize the factors affecting physical growth. Explains physical growth according to ages. Discusses the relationship between physical growth and development areas.
4 Explain the basic concepts of motor development. List the factors affecting motor development. Explain rough and fine motor development. Explain the stages of motor development according to ages.
5 Makes evaluation of motor development. Recognize the problems related to physical growth and motor development and explain to the related professionals.
6 Provides support to physical growth and motor development in line with the needs of the child. Prepare and implement programs that support motor development in line with the needs of the child. Advises families on physical growth and motor development according to the needs of children.
