Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is; To explain the importance of textile in the interior, to give basic information about the textile products used as materials in interior designs, to teach the structural properties of textile surfaces, to make people understand their importance in the interior in terms of their functional properties as well as their aesthetic properties, to understand the relations between interior and textile surfaces, color, material, texture and form. To ensure that they have knowledge about the interior and to teach them how to choose and design interior textile materials suitable for the interior.
Course Content The content of the course consists of explaining the structure, components and properties of interior textiles and their relationship with space identity and design in terms of function and aesthetics, and examining them with examples.
Course Methods and Techniques Explaining theoretical information by supporting visual materials and examples. Reinforcing course topics with research assignments.

1 Understands the importance of interior-textile interaction and understands the areas of textile usage in interior spaces.
2 Learns the structural properties of textile as a material and its areas of use in interior spaces, and understands the importance of textile surfaces used in interior spaces in terms of their functional properties as well as their aesthetic properties.
3 In interior projects, textile materials are selected in accordance with the function, place of use, purpose and aesthetic features of the space.
4 Evaluates the use of textiles in interior spaces in the context of art movements and has information about textile designers.
