Objectives of the Course The course aims at developing English communication skills covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In particular, it emphasizes the use of these skills in meaningful communicative tasks in academic and technological contexts. The students will be engaged in a variety of learning activities that foster positive attitudes and confidence in using academic English. Independent learning skills will also be promoted via self-access learning modes.
Course Content The course will develop English communication skills covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It will emphasize the use of these skills in meaningful communicative tasks in academic and technological contexts using in class exercises, discussions, academic readings, and writing practices. The students will be engaged in a variety of learning activities that foster positive attitudes and confidence in using English. Independent learning skills and critical thinking and analysis will also be promoted via the variety of learning modes.
Course Methods and Techniques Learning Techniques: Lecture, Class Participation, Writing Exercises.
