Objectives of the Course
|
The objective of this course is to present the students with the basic concepts, theories, and issue areas in political sociology. The students will be first introduced to theories, basic terms and notions of the founding fathers of modern sociology, then structures and institutions of modern society within the relationship between politics and sociology.

Course Content
|
This course focuses on key terms, theories, key thinkers and fundamental matters of Political Sociology and elaborates various aspects of social-political life and institutions. This includes micro and macro actors. It also examines basic theories of Political Sociology. For each session, students are expected to read the relevant chapter of the textbooks and other sources, as the course requires high level of participation.
