Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to teach students the basic concepts, methods and skills necessary to effectively plan, develop, implement and manage information technology systems for organizations or businesses. In addition to this, it is to provide students with the ability to identify the problems of the business world, to bring solution alternatives to the problems and to gain the ability to analyze and design systems that will solve problems in line with the needs by examining the elements in the business environment.
Course Content Systems Analysis and Design course will cover the process of analyzing and designing systems, which is a fundamental subject in the field of computer science and information technology. The scope of this course will cover topics such as identifying requirements within a system, analyzing system requirements, structuring the design, modeling and prototyping of systems. However, the management of these processes, software development life cycle, data flow diagrams, data modeling and system testing will also be covered. Furthermore, this course will partly follow Project Based Learning (PBL). Each student will do a project on a different topic. Students will be assigned projects from a project list. Projects will be done alone.
