Dersin Amacı This course has two primary objectives:

(1) To provide undergraduate students with a solid background of Türkiye- European Union (EU) relations.

(2) To equip students with the analytical skills necessary to be able to discuss main debates with respect to Türkiye-EU relations from various perspectives.
Dersin İçeriği This course offers a comprehensive examination of the relationship between Türkiye and the EU by tracing its evolution from the beginning of the first membership application of Türkiye in 1959 to contemporary times. Students will delve into the historical milestones, political dynamics, economic interactions, and social implications that have shaped Turkey-EU relations.

By exploring key events, policy developments, and the broader geopolitical context, students will gain a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities within this bilateral relationship. Through critical analysis and discussion, students will be equipped to engage with the complex realities of Turkey-EU relations.
