Dersin Amacı The course has the following aims: (1) Analyzing and commenting the transformation of the Middle East from late 19th century until today, as well as the main states and political actors in the region; (2) Elaborating the political currents and sociological structure of the region; (3) Make the students familiar with the academic literature on Middle East, and encouraging them to make further research on the region’s politics.
Dersin İçeriği The course elaborates history, politics and society in modern Middle East with intense references to the academic literature on the region.
