To learn the sources of Turkish Law and the changes it has undergone in the historical process and to know the origins of current Turkish legal institutions.

2 To be able to interpret the legal institutions that emerged in history and today's legal institutions comparatively
3 To have knowledge about the laws of pre-Islamic Turkish states
4 To have knowledge about the application of Islamic Law in post-Islamic Turkish States
5 To know the sources of law applied in the Ottoman Empire
6 To be able to see the changes in law in the Ottoman Empire during the period until the Tanzimat
7 To observe the development of law in the Ottoman Empire after the Tanzimat
8 To be able to interpret the Tanzimat Era and its effects on law
9 Learns the institutions that emerged in Turkish Law after the Tanzimat.
10 Observing the development of Turkish Law in act of 1876 Kanun-i Esasi and its aftermath
11 Having information about the functioning of the state after the Kanun-i Esasi
12 To gain a critical and constructive perspective on codification movements
