Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to teach the students basic information about the concepts of property and real rights, the principles that prevail the real rights, possession, land registry and property concepts, the scope and acquisition of property, and to bring the ability to apply this knowledge to concrete disputes.
Course Content In theoretical courses, legal rules, concepts and principles in the field of property law are taught in the light of scientific opinions and judicial decisions. Through practical work, the ability to apply this knowledge to concrete events is brought.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to determine whether a concrete right has the quality of a real right, and if it is a real right, its type and explain the principles that the real right is subject to.
2 Distinguish the concept of possession from the concept of property; know the legal consequences of possession.
3 Explain the right of ownership on a concrete immovable property within the framework of the principles that prevail the land registry.
4 Distinguish the records on the register page of the real estate according to their type and content; explain the legal effects of these records within the framework of the principles that prevail in the land registry.
5 Know how to correct if the records on the register page of the real estate do not reflect actual rightful ownership; explain under which conditions the trust of third parties in the accuracy of these records will be protected.
6 Describe the concept of property, general principles regarding the subject and scope of property.
7 In the event that more than one person has a property right on an item, explain the legal characteristics of the relationship between these people, taking into account the type of property right (co-ownership or joint ownership)
8 Specifically evaluate the issues related to the scope and acquisition of property in terms of immovables and movables.
