Objectives of the Course	Bu dersin amacı öğrencileri ekonomi politikasının temel kavramları ile tanıştırmaktır: Makroekonomik politikaya (maliye politikası, para politikası ve ayrıca gelirler politikası) ve sanayi politikası ele alınacaktır. Bu nedenle ders ağırlıkla makroekonomiyi kapsayacak ve aynı zamanda ekonomik kalkınma yönlerine de değinecektir.
Course Content	ARAŞTIRMA RAPORU Öğrencilerden seçilen bir konuda 6-8 sayfalık (2.100-2.800 kelime) bir araştırma raporu hazırlamaları istenecektir. Rapor ve sunumun konusu öğretim elemanı ile önceden kararlaştırılacaktır. Raporun formatı ve içeriği notlandırma için önem arz etmektedir. İçeriğin değerlendirilmesinde kullanılacak kriterler tutarlı argümanların kullanılması, istatistiklerden faydalanılması, fikir ve düşünce akışının iyi şekilde kurgulanmasıdır. Format için notlandırma kriterleri içeriği yansıtan uygun bir başlığın olması, giriş ve sonuç bölümlerinin olması, genel formatta ise, başlık ve alt başlık yapısı, kaynak gösterme ve dipnotlara yer verilmesidir. İntihal Notu: Öğrencilerin kendi yaklaşımlarını ve fikirlerini sunmalarını beklenmektedir; başka kaynaklardan kopyalanıp yapıştırılan cümleleri intihal olarak kabul edilecektir. Aşağıdaki gibi intihal eylemleri bu ödevde sıfır notu alacaktır: • metnin nereden alındığına dair açıkça belirtilmeyen diğer kaynaklardan doğrudan alıntılar • çok fazla kopyala yapıştır cümlesine yer verilmesi SUNUM (AKADEMİK/AKTÜEL MAKALEDEN) Her öğrenci seçtiği akademik/teknik makalenin (veya bir bölümü) veya bir gazete/dergi makalesinin sunumu gerçekleştirecektir. Sunum powerpoint tabanlı olmak zorundadır. Raporun ve sunumun konusu, 2007-8 krizi veya COVİD19 sonrası Avrupa ve ABD'deki mali teşvik programları veya para politikası hamleleri gibi gerçek dünya ekonomi politikası vakalarının tartışılması olmalıdır. YOKLAMA/DERSE KATILIM Üniversite yönetmeliğine göre devam zorunluluğu bulunmaktadır. Derse katılım, öğrencinin genel puanı üzerinde büyük bir ağırlığa sahiptir. Düzenli olarak derse devam etmek, sınıftaki tartışmalara katılmak, öğretim elemanının ofis saatlerinde konuları değerlendirmek, tartışmak veya hocanın zaman zaman sorabileceği soruları içeren ödevleri vaktinde teslim etmek derse katılımın unsurlarıdır.

1	This course will be taught with 3 hours of in-class theoretical training. Students will be asked to read and analyze economic news during the course to evaluate the theoretical knowledge learned and real-world developments. Class discussions, newspaper news and current articles will be used.
2	Students must follow the course schedule. They are expected to have read the "Readings" list in each week's program, as well as the Textbook sections shown in the second column of the course flow chart. Good students also read (or at least review) the readings listed as "References."
3	Students will prepare and present an analysis as described in the “Report and Presentation” section below. The format of the report and presentation material is considered an important part of students' performance in this course. Students are encouraged to visit the course instructor and discuss class materials or real-world cases.
