Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for research planning, implementation and presentation. The course focuses on gaining experience in scientific research.
Course Content The aim of this course is to introduce students to the scientific methods and research techniques used in social sciences. The nature and organization of scientific knowledge in general and its situation in social areas are discussed. Research pattern, measurement methods, hypothesis creation and sample selection, data collection and data analysis are the main topics to be focused on. Scientific curiosity, ethics and standard academic writing rules are other topics to be covered.
