Objectives of the Course
|
To enable students to acquire and internalize basic knowledge about creativity, which is the basis of innovation, sources of innovation, organizational climate, culture and types of innovation that facilitate innovation.

Course Content
|
What is creativity? What are the misconceptions about creativity? What are creative thinking and problem solving techniques? Who is Schumpeter, the father of innovation? What is "creative destruction" the basis of Schumpeter's theory of innovation? What is the path from individual creativity to organizational innovation? In what kind of organizational culture and business climate does innovation occur? What are the four main types of innovation as defined by the OECD? What are examples of these? What are Closed and Open Innovation? What are the advantages of open innovation over closed innovation? What is social innovation, today's most important differentiator? What are the key elements that distinguish social innovation from other types of innovation? What is eco-innovation with environmental sensitivity? What are the design and user dimensions of eco-innovation? What is customer innovation? How does customer-driven innovation differ from customer-targeted innovation and customer-centered innovation?
