Objectives of the Course It aims to examine the historical development of radio, television and cinema with their technological, artistic, industrial and social dimensions, by evaluating them together with the political, economic and cultural conditions of the period.
Course Content The history of radio, television and cinema, from the end of the 19th century to the present, is examined by considering the main movements, genres and schools of different countries and periods. In the course, whose development is evaluated in the context of economic, social and political changes, films are analyzed in relation to cultural and artistic movements, and the effects of technological innovations and industrial changes on these tools are investigated.

1 To have in-depth knowledge of the origins and development of radio, television and cinema as an industrial product, a technology and a mass media tool.
2 To be able to define the main movements, traditions, genres and aesthetic tendencies in the history of radio, television and cinema and to understand the relationship between film forms, culture and artistic movements.
3 Discuss the relationship of radio, television and cinema with the cultural, industrial and historical context
4 To examine the role that radio, television and cinema have played in history through the ways they reflect social and political changes and their effects on historical events and culture.
5 To be able to establish a relationship between radio, television and cinema products specific to a certain movement, genre, period or nation, through their narrative language, style and formal features, and to evaluate them within the framework of critical and theoretical approaches.
