Objectives of the Course The theoretical knowledge learned in the course of electrical machines are applied in laboratory, application of the characteristics of electrical machines, generating engine and generator working conditions, determination of losses and yields, the ability to create the experimental connection schemes physically.
Course Content Theoretical knowledge about correct and alternating current machines. Introduction of laboratory equipment. Basic characteristics of free-excited direct current generator. Basic characteristics of synchronous generator. Basic characteristics of squirrel cage induction motor. Transformer working, short circuit and load test. Basic characteristics of free-excited direct current motor. Basic characteristics of series excited direct current motor. Losses and yields in direct and alternating current machines.

3 Defines the DC motor's output power, torque, speed and factors affecting the direction of rotation.
4 Series, shunt and compunt Defines the uses and differences of DC motors.
5 Defines the working principle and power losses of the transformer.
6 Defines the causes of losses and detects magnetic saturation point and core losses (eddy currents and hysteresis).
