Objectives of the Course To learn about fundamental concepts related to illumination; to learn lighting sources, to be able to design indoor and outdoor lighting by using relevant computer programs
Course Content Fundamental photometric quantities, Light and vision, Light flux, Illuminance level, Light intensity, Luminance, Photometric laws, Illumination related problems, Fundamental concepts related to light sources, Color temperature and color rendering index, Incandescent lamps, Sodium vapor lamps, Metal halide lamps, Fluorescent lamps and LEDs, Problems relevant to light sources, Design of indoor and outdoor lighting and computer applications, Calculations related to indoor electrical installation and computer applications
