Objectives of the Course Importance of polymeric materials, investigation of techniques used in definition of traditional and advanced engineering plastics, production and characterisation of polymeric materials and introduction of the application areas, giving knowledge about scientific investigations and developments on industrial applications make the aim of this lesson.
Course Content Introduction to polymeric materials, Classification of polymers, Polymerisation and copolymerisation, Structure of the polymers and chemical bonding, Amorphous and Crystal Structure of polymers, Melting and glass transition temperature of polymers, Physical and chemical modifications of polymers, Using additive materials in polymers, Thermal and physical properties, of polymers Mechanical properties, Production Methods of Polymers.
