Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide basic measurement techniques and mathematical definitions used in large scale map production.
Course Content Basic information about maps and scales. map construction and map usage. information on measurement theory: measure value, actual value, random maps, least squares principle. measurement of horizontal lengths on the map. Finding polygonal areas. measurement of steel strips and horizontal lengths; Modern methods of measurement information.
