Objectives of the Course Explaining the basic principles of hydraulic engineering, one of the application areas of civil engineering, The aim of this course is to teach the solution of the problems of hydraulic structures and to determine the fluid-structure interaction and behavior and to discuss the problems encountered in the design of the structures.
Course Content 337/5000 Introduction and definitions; basics of hydrology; water resources systems; classification of dams; structural design of concrete dams; filling dams; water intake structures; spillways and energy breakers; bindings and derivation structures; hydroelectric power plants; irrigation and drying; Basic principles of coastal engineering.
