Objectives of the Course To give basic information about traffic engineering and signaling and to enable students to learn the principles of transportation.
Course Content Introduction to transport: basic features of transport systems; definition of earth works; volume calculations; characteristics of the masses diagram; definition of road and railway; types and characteristics of railway cars; design of railway superstructure, design of road and rail, design and application examples.
