Objectives of the Course To help students understand the basic logic of computer 3D drawing using Building Information Modeling programs; To gain the ability to draw geometric shapes according to technical drawing rules; To provide students with the ability to present their architectural projects as printouts after completing their digital drawings.
Course Content Gain the ability to model the entire project in the Revit program by mastering all stages of an architectural drawing and going from part to whole; Ability to get 3D rendering; Ability to convert Autocad drawing into model; Traveling with a camera in and around the building and being able to shoot short films.

1 General information about software used for architectural modeling, Interface introduction, Introduction of useful websites
2 Introduction of Revit interface, Introduction of top menu, Scale settings, Drawing settings, Filing menu, Selection methods, Copy methods
3 Basic Drawing commands: Using components such as Wall, Door, Window, Column, the first steps for drawing the walls of the structure in 3 dimensions with these components.
4 Commands to help with drawing Manage menu (Onap, Settings, ....) Ability to add Level, Level-specific settings.
5 Use of Modify tools; (Erase, Redo, Undo, Move, Copy, Rotate, Mirror, Offset, Scale, MatchPromp), Practical studies
6 Using Modify tools II; (Trim, Extend, Array, Polar Array, Align ...) Applied studies, Scale adjustment, Dimensioning, Creating a new Dimension style, Writing 2 and 3 dimensional text.

9 Working with 3D views, Section Box, Light, Render settings
10 Introduction to conceptual design methods, designing mass with mass and modifying mass
11 Working with family logic, preparing a family and calling a family to a drawing (Insert) etc... Adding a picture to a drawing, resizing the picture, editing the picture, Draw Order, Applied studies.
12 Setting line types. Line pen thicknesses and line colors, Making drawing settings, Working with elevation and section symbols.
13 Information on converting the drawing to image format, exporting with Export, saving with .jpg, .bmp.. etc file extensions, transferring Revit drawing to other programs. Placing level marks.
14 Roof, Curtain Wall, Floor, Ceiling works, and the ability to modify these units
