Objectives of the Course
|
In this course, visual communication design introduces students about 150 years of graphic historical production. As students start from today (21st century) and go back to the late 19th century, students' awareness of graphic design increases with changing priorities. To give information about the stages of development of graphic design, its characteristics according to ages and societies, the place of culture values as art and design, and evaluations and evaluations are made.

Course Content
|
The worldwide development of graphic design is taught in this course from the Arts and Craft movement to the end of the New Typography movement. The reasons for changing visual expression language are analyzed in the context of political, cultural, sociological, technological and economic parameters of the period. Design readings of the designed products are made. Principles of formal language are determined.
