Objectives of the Course To comprehend the foreign trade concepts, technics and legislation that will be the basic for foreign trade profession
Course Content To Explain Turkish Legislation on Foreign Trade from the view of basic concepts of foreign trade, to explain delivery terms in foreign trade and to learn how to issue official and commercial documents used in foreign trade.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 To be able to comprehend the basic technical concepts in foreign trade transactions
2 To be able to understand factors that seperates the foreign trade from domestic trade
3 To comprehend the general framework of the legislation on customs, import-export and foreign exchange and promotion
4 To learn official, commercial and autonomous institutions applied in foreign trade flow and in case of any problem
5 To understand and to gain practising on the sharing risk and fees at the stage which exported or imported goods are transfered to buyer from seller
6 To learn official and commercial documents used in foreign trade transactions, to understand where and how to use these documents, to gain capability of issuing these documents electronically or manually

4 Institutions of Foreign Trade: Export Promotion Center of Turkey (İGEME), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Banks, Customs Brokers, International Logistics and Transport Companies
5 Delivery Terms in Foreign Trade: Incoterms: Aims of Incoterms and classification of Incoterms in regard of identitification, transport mean and execution place of delivery obligation
