Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to enhance nursing students’ critical thinking skills and enable them to evaluate scientific publications systematically and analytically. Students will learn to identify different types of research, analyze the structure of scientific articles, apply reporting guidelines (EQUATOR checklists), and contribute to evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice.

Definition, importance, and role of critical thinking in nursing Structure (IMRAD model) and types of scientific articles Research reporting standards (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, COREQ, CARE, STARD, etc.) Strategies for reading, summarizing, and critically reviewing articles Critical analysis of results, tables, and figures Levels of evidence and evidence-based decision-making Ethical aspects of research and publication ethics Applied article critiques and student presentation
