Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is; To provide nursing students with information about the importance of disasters, the classification of disasters, the precautions to be taken against disasters, the management of disasters, the effects of disasters on public health and the duties and responsibilities of the disaster nurse.

This course; Introduction of the Course, Definition of the Concept of Disaster, Epidemiology, Importance and Classification, Global Disasters and Complex Emergencies, Disasters Caused by Chemical, Biological, Radiological Agents, High-Risk Vulnerable Groups in Disasters, Mental Health in Disasters, Mass Injuries in Disasters, Disaster Triage, Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Planning, Disaster Management, Nurses' roles in disaster management, Research and development in disaster nursing, General evaluation of the course; includes topics.
