Objectives of the Course
|
The aim is to enable the student to discuss the integration of cultural competence into health education and practice by learning cross-cultural disease and health models.

Course Content
|
Culture of health and disease, the concept of culture, the importance and place of culture in health, world cultures, cultural behaviors in health, transcultural health and midwifery models, the relationship between patient relatives and healthcare personnel in different cultures, global health problems, national and international health policies, the concept of intercultural midwifery and transcultural approaches in education, intercultural care approach.
