Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the operating room environment, the materials used during the surgery, to gain knowledge about surgical operations and to gain competence to take part in surgical teams.
Course Content Working environment and ergonomics in the operating room, operating room architecture, operating room team roles and responsibilities, materials used in the operating room, operating room air conditioning and clean air technology, positions given to the patient during surgery, patient safety in the operating room, employee safety in the operating room, anesthesia and types of anesthesia, medical materials used in specific surgeries, environmentally friendly practices in the operating room, operating room cleaning and disinfection.
