Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to familiarize the student with the technologies that make up the infrastructure of computer networks and to gain the theoretical knowledge necessary to establish a basic computer network.
Course Content Network definition and history, Arpanet, protocol definition, details of HTTP/S protocol, Network types, Network topologies, Network layers, Network components, Network management, Encryption in networks, Encryption algorithms, Key distribution and Authentication methods.
Course Methods and Techniques Theoretical lectures, homework and quizzes.
