Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to teach students the basic techniques and capabilities of digital photography, enable them to properly set up their cameras, and create aesthetic and functional photographs using different shooting techniques. Students will also learn to perform shadow, coloring, and blending operations on photographs, create basic photographic compositions, and analyze examples of photography in art history.
Course Content The course covers the basic techniques of digital photography, camera settings, and different shooting techniques. Students will learn to perform shadow, coloring, and blending operations on photographs and create basic photographic compositions. Additionally, significant examples of photography in art history will be examined.
Course Methods and Techniques The course will be conducted both theoretically and practically. The theoretical part will cover the basic techniques of digital photography and camera settings, while the practical part will involve students creating aesthetic and functional photographs using different shooting techniques. Shadow, coloring, and blending operations on photographs will be applied, and basic photographic compositions will be created. Analysis of examples from art history will also be conducted.

2 Evaluation of digital photography, its importance, contribution and effectiveness in graphic design processes; introduction of software and technical tools used in this field
3 Review of previous Photoshop lessons, including photoshop menus, filters, applications and uses of Adobe Photoshop
4 Review of coloring, shading, clearing, and merging tools on photographs
5 Panoramic Photographs; introduction, shooting techniques. Technical information with merging multiple frames (at least 7) through transferring onto computer
6 Technical information about color and perspective corrections on merged frames
7 Theoretical information and examples about manipulation techniques, how to manipulate photographic images
