Objectives of the Course Providing to comprehend and to transfer application of basic procedures in evaluation methods of musculoskeletal system injuries and orthopaedic problems which needs surgical intervention or not; developing competence and skills to select and to apply the most appropriate and surgery specific physiotherapy and rehabilitation program and intervention
Course Content Within the scope of this course; basic principles of orthopedic physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques, general evaluation principles and evaluation methods used in orthopedic rehabilitation, fractures, classification of fractures, fracture healing, fracture complications, basic principles of fracture rehabilitation, characteristics of upper and lower extremity fractures, physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications in upper and lower extremity fractures. , physiotherapy and rehabilitation in shoulder-arm complex orthopedic problems, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in elbow joint and forearm region orthopedic problems, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in wrist joint and hand region orthopedic problems, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in hip joint and pelvis region orthopedic problems, physiotherapy in knee joint orthopedic problems and rehabilitation, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in orthopedic problems of the ankle joint and foot region, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in orthopedic problems of the spine, rheumatoid arthritis, physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications in ankylosing spondylitis, physiotherapy and rehabilitation of osteoarthritis and non-articular rheumatic diseases, surgical and non-surgical treatments and physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in the waist and neck region, and bandaging and taping methods in orthopedic problems are included.

3 To be able to explain basic concepts and critical points should be taken account about surgical procedure in the cases who may need surgical intervention
4 To be able to apply general and pathology-specific evaluation and measurement methods in ortopedic problems
5 To be able to define the general treatment principles of musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions in orthopedics and to determine the needs of situations that require physiotherapy and rehabilitation
6 To be able to determine and apply the most appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for patients who have undergone surgery or not
