Objectives of the Course The basic principles of machining methods and machining processes used in the industrial area to recognize, understand the basic features, improve the ability to apply knowledge and skills processes.
Course Content Hand tools that are used in the hand workmanship of machines, knowledge and skill processes, basic drilling, knowledge and skill processes at a drill press, introduction to lathe, universal lathe and turnery processes, sets of cutters and their angles in the turning technique, methods for securing work pieces to the lathe, movement magnitudes at the lathe, rules for working safely, securing work pieces to the lathe, applications concerning calibration and chipping, performing applications on the work piece that belongs to the processes of facing, longitudinal turning, opening up a center hole, chamfering, graded turning, canalization, conical turning, knurling and honing cutting tools, help acquire attitudes and behavior that are suitable for occupational safety rules. The introduction of milling machines, the auxiliary elements of the milling machine, speed of cutting, amount of revolutions per minute, amount of progress, calculations of time, milling methods, the incident of cutting, analysis of the forces of cutting, methods for securing work pieces to the milling machine, sets of milling cutters, milling of the surfaces of planes, canalization and grooving in milling.

Exams 1 adet ara sınav (%20) ve 1 adet yarıyıl sonu (%30) olmak üzere 2 adet yazılı sınav yapılır. Haftalık atölye uygulamalarının vize haftasına kadar yapılanların %20 si vize uygulamasına ve 8-14. haftalar arası gerçekleştirilen uygulamaların ortlamasının %30'u yarıyıl sonu notuna dahil edilir.
